During his junior year of studies at Villanova, John took a semester off to complete a 6-month role as a Sales Co-Op for Johnson & Johnson's Consumer Packaged Goods branch. J&J offered John the opportunity to work full time with their Health and Wellness Sales team in Pennsylvania, where he gained valuable experience in data mining and analysis, learned to operate effectively within a number of sales databases, and made lasting connections with his co-workers.
John completed a number of significant, impactful projects for the Fortune 50 company; he created a comprehensive competitive assessment of customer planograms, analyzed and compiled a report on the state of J&J's Tylenol re-launch, and, his personal favorite, ran an event for J&J's "Take Your Kid To Work Day," where John got to teach young children of J&J employees about what it means to work in sales.

In the summer of 2013, John worked as an associate for Dunkin' Donuts in Saratoga, NY.
John's primary location was the seasonal Dunkin' booth at Saratoga Racetrack: a world-renowned horse racing arena visited by stars and equestrian enthusiasts from all over the world. The young, franchised location gave John hands on experience in operating and working with a small business; he once compared his time in the booth to "running the world's busiest - and most well established - lemonade stand."
The high-traffic, high-energy environment taught John to think quickly on his feet, and The Track offered him the opportunity to speak (and serve coffee!) with stars like Jay Wright, Mariano Rivera, and Bill Parcells.
John made great friends and had an amazing experience, and will be returning to the racetrack in the summer of 2014 to do it all again.

In June of 2012, John was hired as a marketing intern for the Watervliet Arsenal Business and Technology Partnership in Upstate New York, whose primary goal is to attract and retain high-tech companies in the Albany area.
While his roles included contributing to marketing campaigns and company outreach projects, John's most significant project was creating, organizing, and operating the Arsenal Partnership Golf Outing. John worked for 3 months to plan a charity golf outing which included local businesses, restaurants, politicians and volunteers. The effort raised nearly $25,000 in its first year, and inspired the company to annualize the event.
Working under the organization's President, Peter Gannon, John gained valuable insights into public-private business relationships, learned a great deal about the area's high-tech industry, and built muscle around event organization and brand marketing.
